Default Agency worker query

Yesterday I've been to the recruitment agency to register my details, as well as giving my updated CV. I have also done all the necessary tests (english, maths, and typing tests) too that they asked me to do. Furthermore, I filled in an application pack, gave referee details, proof of address, ID, and signed a contract. Don't know why I signed a contract, when they haven't found me work - but I think it's just some T&Cs about the agency and I (i.e. the agency worker which is 'me', working for/through them)

I have worked for/through this agency before a few years ago, where they place me in an organisation. I am going back there again to find some work. The ageny pays my wages, as when I worked for/through them before, the agency logo is on the payslip. The P45/60 also says the agency's address too. The agency specialises in temp contract work and temp to perm work. The agency only finds work for, and place candidates in that one particular organisation. The agency has placed me through that one particular agency before. This will happen again, which I like, as it is a reputable company.

Basically, I need to re-register my details.

The staff has booked me in for an informal chat next week with a recruitment consultant. What is this about? What questions will be asked?

Another thing is that I've been sacked from an organisation where the agency has put me through. This was a few years ago. That job was a temp to perm work. I wanted to leave anyway, due to going to uni. Will the agency have a record of me getting sacked (the mistakes were typing mistakes, which was made near the end of the time I wanted to leave for uni)? If so, will this affect the agency staff helping me find a job? I'm worried that they won't find me a job, and 'throw away safely' my re-registered details, application forms, etc... away, and ask me not to come back here to work for/through them again.

Strangely, when I call up to query about re-registering with the agency yesterday, they didn't mention about me getting sacked, but they have a record that I've worked for/through them before.

This agency is the best one in the area I live in.

I walked out of a job I got through an agency because they lied to me about the job role and I still get work through them. So if they haven't mentioned it and have booked you in I think it will probably fine-if they weren't willing to deal with you they would have said so.

Thanks for your reply and reassurance Lell.

I re-registerd now, and got a staff booked me in for a chat next week. Not sure what is this all about. If you have this kind of thing before (i.e. a chat), what do they ask you?

Are you based in the UK, but originally from NZ? Just curious. Agency worker issues might be different in NZ...

No this was an agency in the UK I'm based in the UK now.

They just asked me what experience I had, asked me questions about team working , liaising with different people etc...nothing to scary.

Ok, doesn't sound too bad.

I work through/for the temping agency before, and I've been told I will be temping/working in that company again.

Another problem

A few years ago, I've been sacked when I worked through/for the temping agency, that placed in that organisation. I am not sure if the temping agency will have this on my record. If they don't, it's good. :p I was sacked due to data entry errors near the end of my 'temp to perm' contract.

If they do have it on record, I'm worried that they won't find me a job, and tell me not to find work through this temping agency anymore.

When I re-registered, they know I worked through the temping agency before. They have a record of it.

Do you think they would give me another chance?
