Default Part-time jobs

Hi everybody. I am currently applying through UCAS to 5 UK Universities and I received some conditioned offers from 2 of them. I am seriously thinking at living costs problem, and I would like to know if a part-time job is sufficient for covering my rent, bills and food costs. Is it possible to earn 500 monthly from a part time job? Can I cover on my own ( without parents' help ) all these costs?

Not really, I know a few who earn around £300 a month (which is a few hours every night PLUS weekends and a few good bets at £8 an hour and £16 on Sundays) but they're grades are definitely struggling because of it.

Myself, I have two part time jobs- one 7.5 hours per week at £6 an hour, the other £6.45 for 6+ hours a week and still don't earn that much. If you start earning now and saving, the majority of the costs can probably be covered (in terms of accommodation etc) but I think you'll have to get a loan for tuition.

I'm international (oh joys) which means I have the safety net of the Government paying my tuition (and also my accommodation since my mum is a single parent and unemployed) but even I'm saving since I'll have no back up once that's covered.

Well, momentainly I have enough money to survive a couple of months there, but after the accommodation, I would like to live there on my own as my parents don't earn enough to keep me there. By the way, I'm from Romania. I calculated that I need about 400 to live in good conditions ( I'm not pretentious at all ), and looking at some job offers, I came up to think that a part time job is sufficient for me. But studying far from home isn't easy, and I wouldn't like to get there and be disappointed because I can't earn enough to live there. So I think I should be careful with all the details.
