basically i'm applying to do a foundation year in art and design at the arts university college at bournemouth, but as there are no halls i need to find a place! anyone have anything? i start next september..

i would just love that! how much would living there cost? my parents aren't all for me going away for foundation at the moment, but with a little help i'm sure i can get them on track,

As a student in the on-campus halls at AUCB, I can assure you there are halls :] It's just there's a very limited number of them and they mostly go to international/long distance students. I think foundation and national diploma students also get more consideration for placement too.

I have to say they're not fantastically equipped (our kitchen has one oven/hob for about 8 people, there's no actual communal lounge), but it's an excellent way to meet new people. Especially if you like meeting international types

95 quid a week which is rather expensive, or 300 a month for a house incuding bills

I pay £276 a month to live in Bournemouth not including bills for which we've eached put aside £50 but so far they aren't coming to that much (we don't want to be caught short at the end of the term though!). £300 a month including bills is pretty ambitious, I don't know anyone paying that most people pay for just rent (bills not included) and that is normally around £300 although obv. mine is less I know people paying about £320 a month!

Maybe you could speak to local letting agents, we're with Roberts. Don't go with St. Quientins and McConnells stole a girl on my course's deposit. Also if you contact the AIB they will have an accommodation office who will be able to help you. BU accommodation office has a little list of spare rooms people have so I figure AIB will have it.
