Hi guys,

Well am i stupid?
A women from john lewis just phoned me to offer me a job in catering of john lewis. I said I was not interested because I've already experienced catering as a waiter and I want to find some new experience.

Prior to this, I actually had an assessment with john lewis to work in there department stores. But i didn't pass it.

Well Am i stupid or not? I mean tbh i hate dealing with food? Thats why i quit being a waiter.

No. I turned down a job 2 weeks ago, didn't want to travel to Canary Wharf everyday.

Depends how much you need the money really, if I was desperate, had to pay rent or something, I'd have done it. But I'm not desperate, plus I'm making a load of money right now temping (won't get paid till late Dec though!)

You turned down a job offer because you hate the sort of work you would have been doing? Unless you desperately need the money, that sounds pretty sensible to me.

I may be able to help. I used to work in catering too, and quit as I got fed up with scraping food of plates etc.

Are you still looking? Are you based in Manchester ?

Nah rejected 2 jobs because:

1) first one i rejected expected me to work from mornings to evenings everyday,I just didn't have for that

2) By the time this other job accepted me I already found one so pomptly rejected them too

Nah not stupid at all. I rejected a job at M and S just a day after I started there as their clothing was awful to work with lol plus I already had an offer of a job in menswear where I work now at Debenhams so it all worked out. Except their ******* stupid instore music that's on a one hour loop and drives me crazy.

I rejected a job at Debenhams last month as I'd already accepted another offer at the time. I fear it may mean that come next year when I'm no doubt looking for another job they won't look kindly on another application from me, which is a shame seeing as they're huge and take on lots of people, but oh well.
