Got kicked out and temporarily barred from the GU last year. Was drinking underage, fair enough but I had been underage the previous six weeks without any bother funnily enough. Wouldn't have been too bad if my phone hadn't been out of battery and it wasn't only 1 o'clock- nae mates, no way of calling a taxi so it was a walk to the city centre and a rather hefty fare in a fast black.

Rite of passage, though eh? How did your mates take it? Bet you'll go from being least drunk to the most drunk person you've ever seen by Monday morning

Yep, happened to a friend that I was with. They were drunk enough to hit on the bouncer that was chucking them out however. What did you do to get chucked out?

Why did you walk to the city centre? There's usually black taxis around to be hailed, especially if you went to Great Western Rd.

Is it possible that it's because you didn't have your ID? I just remembered, coz I bought you a couple of drinks. Seeing as I'm so nice (and owed you money).

Also your quote in your sig is missing an apostrophe, fix it?

Absolutely no idea. We were all keeping to ourselves, so unless I did something unfortunate on the way back from the toilet - which I'm pretty sure I didn't - I have no idea what I did to get picked out.

He asked if I had a wristband - did anyone have a wristband? - but, er, that was after he'd told me I'd had too much to drink and wasn't getting back in. So I'm not really sure.

A [sic] would ruin the effect :P

For a cheaper taxi, would have been a bit more damage than I was willing to take if it was from the West End, what I paid was pretty steep as it was IIRC.

My thought process may have been flawed for the obvious reasons.

Ahh, I was thinking that you were getting a taxi to somewhere like Murano St - I'm guessing it was to another part of Glasgow? Makes sense now.

So, y'all missing me? I was sent an invite to a seminar series thing in Glasgow, and I was addressed in the letter as 'Dr'. Might as well sack this PhD then, all the hard work is done...

Also, I've been moaning to anyone who'll listen, that Oxford isn't as good a place to be as Glasgow. Maybe TSR will listen. Or not.
