Hey! My contract with M&S started on Sunday 8th Nov, but my training isn't until Friday 13th, does anyone know when I'll get my first wage?

I got a temp job at the one at the Trafford Centre, and I got my first wage the 2nd Tuesday after my training I see you're from Manchester, which store are you working at?

Well im contracted for 16 hours and im working 30.5 hours this week, and its my first week!

Its not even that busy, and im doing it around school, but you gotta think about the money! All I can say is, im on foods, if you are too, listen to the handling training, you will hurt your back if you pick a box/crate up any other way.

In regards to pay you ought to be paid for training, however the first week of pay will be held back and given to you at the end of your contract. - Paid on a Tuesday and your wage slip should be in the admin office on a Saturday always make sure you've been paid correctly and overtime is included. Finally if you're in education and you're being taxed ridiculous amounts (at one point I was taxed £20-£30 a week) make sure to ask for a P46 form from admin and fill it out so you don't get taxed except for National Insurance. - Hope this helps, let the night shift role on looks as though I'm manager again

As for the polo shirts I do believe small is the largest but you can always enquire.

A final point when interacting with customers in terms of stock always use the online option as a last resort because your individual store will not take the profit from that purchase and in order for your store to do well you should always choose an in-store alternative if you have an in store ordering desk use that, call local stores and offer a transfer or offer an alternative.
