Anybody know what the Opal accommodation is like?
I'm staying at the Opal accommodation right now and it isn't that bad. The bedrooms are comfortable and you get plenty of desk space. At the moment I have a laptop, a printer and a box to hold sheets of A4, and I still have half a desk left to do written work on. There is also a cupboard underneath the mattress when you lift it up, so there's enough storage in the bedrooms too.
The bathrooms here are all wet-rooms, and the kitchens are quite spacious,
but the size of the kitchen does vary depending on the flat you're living in. The staff here are friendly, and the only complaint I have so far is that it can get pretty expensive to do the washing (£2 per washing machine, £1 per tumble-dryer).
There is an ASDA opposite which is either a curse or a blessing depending how you look at it because it's pretty much across the road. For a 10minute walk you'll also find shops which means there are quite a few places to go searching for a part-time job if you ever want one.
But next year I'll be applying to stay on campus because I don't like catching the bus (I prefer to sleep-in

) and you'll also find that you'll be fighting other people to get a seat on the bus in the mornings (because people do get left behind) as the bus is only so big.
