Mayweather's interview was the same as always but different relating to Manny IMO. In the past in build ups or post fight interviews, he's never tended to give his thoughts on Manny but he has now and to me it says he wants the fight to happen. And I think Manny does aswell, contrary to the respectable interview quotes he gave after the Cotto fight.
There are differences between fighters/promoters, when it comes to a fight of this proportions should be eased by the cash cow profits they should earn by going ahead with it. It has to happen now, and IMO, I'd back Mayweather. Pacquiao has done hugely well by beating DLH, Hatton and Cotto but Mayweather will not be as easy to hit and will be elusive and has a better defensive shield.
You thought 3 fighters, 2 of who were fighting NO WHERE NEAR there natural weight division would trouble him? Haha.
Hatton was overblown light welter fighting 7lb heavier at welter; ODLH was fighting in his respective division and Castillo already proved in the first fight with PBF he should have been victorious and was also fighting at his weight.

The chief exectutives of Golden Boy Promotions and Hatton Promotions have just said a match up between Hatton and Marquez is increasingly likely for next year. The venue likely to be in Manchester.
What do you all think of that?
Personally, I think Hatton should come back, but only if he can bring his fitness levels to where they are needed. It's true that he probably won't get another shot at a big fight but that doesn't mean a boxer shouldn't stop fighting.

My head is saying I dont want him to fight again for his health etc. but my heart strongly wants a comeback! As his promotor said he'll only come back to fight at the elite level, I seriously dont think he'd have the motivation to prepare for a low-level fighters. I'd love to see him back on top form hes a great entertainer & seems to bring the whole nation together when he fights lol. Hopefully if it does happen it is in Manchester, will have to try for tickets haha
lol. OMG - Hatton wants Marquez and Marquez has agreed to fight him in Manchester if he accepts. What is he thinking?! Marquez would kill him, even at Light-Welterweight!

Hatton on top form with the Manchester crowd behind would be pretty hard to beat IMO, should be a good fight though! Think deep down Hatton wants to go out on a high & not just be remembered for the Pac/Mayweather fights.
Got to love some people, Hatton fought two all time greats and lost.
Fair play to him, he had the balls to take them on, he is 10 times the fighter Calzaghe is.
He's beaten some awesome opposition over the years and I would rather watch that and him lose occasionally then someone like Calzaghe who was fighting builders and plumbers for most of his career.
Hatton v JMM would be interesting. Age and weight aren't on JMM's side but he does keep in good shape. The same can't be said for Hatton, and has he recovered really from the Pacman fight? I think Hatton has a good chance only if he can get into good shape. He also has to be more tactically disciplined or else JMM will pick him off.
Do I think Hatton will have recovered from that beating, be more tactically astute and in peak physical condition? No. I don't see Hatton doing this and it'll mean he'll come short against a top performer like JMM. I really hope Hatton proves me wrong though.

I think it'll be similar to the JMM/Diaz fight if it does happen: Hatton will catch Marquez, but let's face it he isn't knocking him out, and JMM will eventually grind him down with sharp, aggressive countering, until the ref stops it or Hatton is out for the count.

I agree with you to be fair. No doubt, Mayweather's defence would be a challenge for Pacquiao if the fight goes on. However, Mayweather's biggest weakness would be his fear of breaking his undefeated streak. If he continues the fight with Pacquiao in this state of mentality, that would be a huge hindrance to him, unless he can overcome it and just step into the ring with an open mind.
