Natural Sciences...well, from experience it depends on the college, and I know nothing about Marys. Last year both me and my best friend applied for exactly the same course but at different colleges (Trevs and Mildert)...our applications were sent to the colleges at the same time, sometime in late October I think it was, or maybe November (we were both Cambridge applicants so sent our apps off rather early). She got her offer a few days later, mine didn't come through till January (but I got a nicer offer for some reason, not that I'm complaining).

Registration's only bad if you want to do modules from like 4 departments, and you have to go to all of them. I only had 2 to go to (bio and chem), plus the deputy dean to get everything signed off. Shame the weather was awful that day, especially as we had photos taken...

Thanks I guess all I can do is wait now. I've applied to Cambridge as well - just waiting to see if I get an interview. Which Cambridge college did you apply to?

Oh right, thanks I just hate waiting! How are you enjoying Durham?

The majority who seem to have heard back have been applying for quite sciencey subjects I do believe. Any languages offers yet?

Yeah, you just have to be patient, and don't worry. I applied to Emmanuel at Cambridge...again, don't worry about that, I didn't get my interview until late-ish november, and that was one of the later ones, so you should hear within the next week. Good luck with that too

This is no great surprise as their website has said for a while that this would be their standard offer for various science/engineering courses this year.

Its a surprise to me since I don't really make a habit of checking the Imperial webpage since I turned them down .

I got my offer at the end of November/beginning of December I think....but it was an unconditional so it might've been faster?

F344 Theoretical Physics

* Your application has been received by a College
* A decision has not yet been made. Please visit the UCAS website for further details

does this mean that I'm likely to get an offer? Also, University college is still listed under my personal links, so does that mean I'm still 'assigned' to Castle and haven't been passed to another college?

It should mean that you are likely to get an offer yes. And the links thing means you are probably still assigned to castle (from last year's experiences at least), sorry you probably haven't been moved to hild bede .

I've not heard anything, and from what I've been told we're in for a long wait! I do know of one person on TSR with a languages offer from Durham, but she's an international applicant and I think they're considered separately.

Great. So I have to wait a long time to be rejected! Damn, I really badly want to go to Durham!
