Oh man why are so many people bitching and moaning about applicants getting rejected from UCL/LSE even though they have excellent grades?
It's not just about grades, it's also about reference, subject combinations and most importantly personal statements!
LSE & UCL do not interview applicants so it is imperative that your personal statement is perfect, this is especially highlighted on the LSE website.
Personally, the PS Help forum here at TSR helped me so much. Teachers had praised my final first draft, said it was excellent etc. but when I put it on here and had it assessed by impartial people it transpired that it was very weak. I then went back to the drawing board and came back with a much improved PS.
Also, don't underestimate how helpful Paulwhy is, I chose to ignore his advice about Bath and was swiftly rejected!
Anyway I'm rambling, everyone chill out and best of luck

remember there are plenty of other amazing unis out there besides LSE/UCL/Oxbridge!
