 first module of physics A2 is a mix between a dumbed down version of M3 and a couple of things from AS chemistry.

As nfixlol said, the only way you can understand where the formulae come from is if you do some more advanced maths. For example, to solve the SHM equation and get sin and cos, you need to know how to solve second-order differential equations. If you're just doing physics, it doesn't really matter where they come from
