    What are the chances?
Sorry if a similar thread/question has been asked before.

I've applied for psychology at UCL near the beginning of november with predicted grades of AAB, seeing how so many people that have applied with AAA or higher is making me a bit worried.

I know that my predicted doesn't match the typical offer of AAA that they're looking for but i went ahead and applied anyway because i thought that my A level subject choices (psychology, biology and eng lit) were suitable and feedback of my personal statement was really positive.

I was thinking that maybe they would just give interviews to those who match the typical offer and do a good choice of subjects and consider the rest after. With psychology being such a popular subject, i feel that i probably won't have a chance in hell of getting even an interview :p:

Currently, my application has been acknowledged (and has been since the 5th Nov) and i am anxiously waiting for a reply now, i just want opinions on what you think are the chances of me being offered an interview at least for this course, or have i just wasted my time and one of my 5 choices.

To be honest, they might humour you with an interview, but an offer would be very unlikely.

You won't know until you try. Goodluck.

UCL gave me an offer for a different course (unsubscribed) despite my predicted grades. The only problem is that they asked for a grade higher, but hey it's still an offer, right?

    Thanks for the advice.
I received an e-mail inviting me to an interview today which i'm really pleased about despite applying with lower grades. You're right in saying i won't know until i try :]
