A) Emirates has a atmosphere and everybody knows it.
B) Woodgate is a great defender, the fact that he is injury prone does not take away from the fact that he is a better than all your foreign defenders.
C) We regularly play at least 5 English players in our first side, you guys don't play any. Don't tell me that we don't give playing time to Englishmen.
D) Okay, one guy does not speak English. Your entire squad doesnt speak English - I would be surprised if the stadium announcer at the Emirates did not start every match with 'bonjour! Ca va?'
you can knock our stadium..everybody does that so its not new
hahahahahaha woodgate LOL.. real madrid reject..gallas maybe but vermaelen certainly not..
thats because you fickle bums pay over the odds for average english players (not inc. defoe & crouch, that was harry wheeling at his best) when you can get quality like cesc for peanuts..
hahaha are you serious?? name one person who you have not heard do an interview after a match on either motd or sky.. and vermaelen who is belgian, his english is far better and clearer than the 'init' 'init' you hear from the likes of bentley

Vermaelen was an Ajax reject - that's just pathetic.
We promote English football. You guys just 'give English players the opportunity to play against foreigners.' Its just stupid - get a cap on the number of foreigners on a team. I would like somewhere near 4 English players that have to start each match.
That is just stupid. If the quality of English determined one's nationality then Arsenal's entire fanbase would not be English - because they say 'innit.' I am talking about native language and who the players represent on the national level. the fact that you never see many Arsenal players represent England in recent years is a disaster - it is the most under represented of all the top 7 clubs in the premiership. And in my opinion national level > club.

actually no you don't..villa do and have done for quite a long time..just because harry has come in and bought a few good players(well actually just crouch and defoe) dont start the "we're promoting english football" business..
mate you are trying but its going to make no difference, if it wasnt for capello(great man) all other england managers would have bottled it and gone for the same old stars.. the england team is as good as it is. plus hold on, bar lennon no one else in your team STARTS for england, and only defoe and crouch make the squad..even heskey is rated above the two by capello..
actually yeah, that just puts your whole "representing english football" as total bullcrap. the likes of jenas bentley etc would never get to play for england on a regular basis so that places crouch defoe and lennon in the squad. the same squad which wil definitely have walcott and gibbs..one less than you..hmmm.. so you spend what 300million "promoting english football" we spend what not even half that and you only have one more player who we can say for definite would be in the england squad??? we make profits every year, have a fantastic stadium and an academy which is bringing more english players into the u21 and u20, 18 etc. than any other team in the country except maybe middlesbrough and play the best football in the land..i think we edge this battle this time..
this is the last im going to say on the subject since everyone else is getting pissd off

Birmingham City deadly rivals, always pelting us with bricks, they think they are always going to beat us when they always come well short, they think they will be bigger than we are, their stadium is a dump, so yeah Villa and Birmingham pretty much hate each other's guts. Also I think Jangra summed them up best.
We have a decent chairman who doesn't spend anymore than needed, they have a dodgy chinease chairman.

kk last post.
Capello is great. Arsenal are good, Spurs are better. Good bye
He's at Derby taking chivalry lessons from Robbie Savage.
Loving DJ
Jangrafess maybe you can clear something up for me please. Since Derby may be playing Brentford in the FA Cup Fourth Round, a few of the oldies on the Derby message boards reckon we used to have a really fierce rivalry with you. Can you shed any light on it? I've never heard of that before.

I've never heard of it either. From what we're saying on the Brentford forums we're torn between wanting to play you for the gate receipts and a trip to Pride Park to see DJ and not wanting to because then both our first and second choice keepers would be out. (Sczcesny doesn't have permission to play in the Cup from Arsenal and Lewis Price is on loan from you.) I'll see if I can find anything on a rivalry between us and get back to you.

I would love to play you as well, Donnie always beat us (annoyingly), and playing you would be something a bit different.
Manchester United - Because a huge percentage of their fans (about 70% of their locals and 90% of their OOT fans, and that's actually being generous) are arrogant tools.
Also use the term 'classless' to describe other clubs when, quite objectively, they are the most classless club in England. Look at the antics of their manager over the years, players like Keane and Neville, divers and cheats like RVN and Rooney, the lack of humility of their fans....it all adds up to 'classless' in a way no other club in the league can come close to and yet they have the gall to level it at others.
The way they treat their dwindling amount of true fans is also despicable, charging Ł50 for tickets against Wigan, re-locating fans from the Stretford End so they can sell a package to tourist fans called 'The Stretford End Experience' etc etc...
The media bias towards them also doesn't help matters.
Bolton - idiotic fans, seem to hate City even though we don't give a about them. The way they treated Megson even when he wasn't doing badly
Stockport - as above, except the stuff about Megson obviously
Bury and FCUM - closet (or not so closet) reds.
Spurs - deluded who think they're light years ahead of City. Annoying deceptive statistic that ''Spurs are the only team apart from Man utd to have won something in every decade'' or something. Cocky fans.
Liverpool - one word, '' 'istorrrreeeee''. Also there are people connected with the club who would lobby against standing returning to top flight football (the strong emotive reasons behind that shouldn't blind us to the criminally misguided nature of it). Victim complex. Living in the past. Just everything about them.
Everton - bitter, self-righteous fans ''Everton are building a team the right way'' etc etc. Shut up.
Pot is calling kettle when a City fan describes Utd as classless. Garry Cook anybody? FFS.
That's missing the point - it's the hypocrisy not the classlessness itself that principally annoys me.
My point is that United fans, in calling another team classless, are taking a very unentitled high-ground, regardless of whether they're justified or not in making that observation about the other team in question (which with City/Cook is a debate I can't be arsed to get into, I'm on the fence about Cook anyway to say the least...)

It's not hypocritical to state a point of view, really.
I think you're one of a rare breed of City fan wrt to being on the fence about Cook, tbh, most loathe him as much as I and most other football fans do. But if you can't be arsed then I'll leave it at that.

It's hypocritical to level criticisms at another club of being something which your own club is very arguably guilty of being.
I don't really see why anyone who isn't a City fan would give a about Cook either way - except with regard to his comments on Shinawatra and his human rights record.
He said Milan 'bottled it' yeah, but why would anyone who isn't an AC fan care about a bit of casual irreverance, however petulant and ill-advised, to them?
By 'on the fence' I just mean that I'm very skeptical of his abilities not to be a liability, or what he even brings to the table from a footballing point of view, but I'm prepared to give him the benefit of the doubt one last time.
I certainly don't want Peter Bloody Kenyon taking his place if he does go either. How people can suggest that is beyond me. The words 'frying pan' and 'fire' spring to mind....
