Sheffield is the only uni which do my course haha
So i guess at least by default, that it would e the best.

I thinkkk for Forensic Computing Derby is the best, but Glamorgan is good for that course too.

however, not too sure as it does not have it own leagues table, and the cloest thing to it is Computer Science =/

I'm inclined to think Cambridge is the best for History. For me anyway, the course just suited me as did the Oxbridge system.

(Providing I get the right grades, I'll hopefully be off there to find out for myself!)

But in general, traditional subjects WILL be dominated by Oxford and Cambridge. I'm doing pretty traditional subjects.
History and Politics - probably Oxbridge. But Sheffield is a big rival when it comes to Politics - why I picked it, amongst a host of other reasons.

LSE (after Oxbridge), which is hopefully where I'll be going

Regarding the main point of the thread, I'd say that, for the vast majority of subjects, the main league table and the subject-specific one are fairly similar so it's not usually a case of choosing between the two.

Dundee for forensic anthropology, although to be fair there isnt a lot of other options

Aye definitely, maybe I'll see you in September! I do want to go on Tuesday/Wednesday actually but the slip I got was for Monday/Tuesday.. I may ring and ask if I can swap, would make things a lot easier!

Bournemouth and Goldsmiths are meant to be two of the best for media degrees... Bournemouth rejected me after interview and I didn't apply to Goldsmiths because I didn't want to study in London! But my uni (Birmingham City) is also supposed to be highly rated for media. I'm really liking my course in any case

Cambridge/Imperial for Engineering - but I didn't really like the course at Cam since it was a bit too general.

For most traditional subjects it's going to be Oxford/Cambridge/LSE/Imperial, in terms of prestige at least. I often think that threads like these would be a lot more interesting if it was 'best university that's not Ox/Cam/LSE/Imp'.

Anyway, for my subject it's Warwick - I didn't pick it because of the league tables though, I picked it because the course there looks most interesting and the general vibe of the uni seemed right for me.

Probably Oxford/UCL. What in gods name Cambridge is doing as 1 in the league tables for psychology I will never know.
