    Overwhelming
After buying Fallout 3 today I felt vastly overwhelmed by the scale of the game and all the things you have to remember and things to do.

I will continue to play it till I get totally confused or bored of endlessly trudging across a gloomy landscape.

So this brings me to the question what games have overwhelmed you either scale, graphics, plot or anything else.

For me Fallout 3 is overwhelming me scale wise unlike when I dabbled in WOW for a bit which didn't seem to have the same effect.

When I was playing MUDs a bit (those Massively Multipler Online games that's just text and you put 'w' and go west, 'say hello' to say hello, 'pick up' to pick something up etc.) I tried the Star Wars MUD and was completely and totally confused.

Sometimes in Bioshock it's total visual overload in combat, have NO idea what's going on!

Morrowind feels like that more so than fallout or oblivion because there's only fast travel from cities. The scale is mental. I must have played that game almost exclusively for a year and a half, and I probably barely explored half of it. Less if you count the expansions.

I imagine there'll be people soon who may well be feeling that way for at least a third time :p: Old gits like me remember the days of the "2D" version of Dwarf Fortress, then there was the "3D" version...and (hopefully being released sometime next month) there's this monster update to the 3D version that completely overhauls the combat system and various other things; it's essentially going to be like a whole new game that Tarn's been working on for the past 18 months.

About 30 minutes in to Viva Pinata the game starts unlocking new places, people, creatures, plants, upgrades etc... at a rate which for a child (or a stoned me) becomes very daunting. Plus the colour in that game hurts my eyes.
