the box that says all of my rep on it said i had 100 rep points.
then i received more rep, but it stayed at 100
my last 3 are on show, and when i received new rep, the oldest out of the 3 disappeared

I can answer you to a part of your questions only.
You don't have more reputation points even if they gave you reputation because of the fact they don't have enough "power".
    Power means number of posts

your rep box is probably set at showing 3 reps right now, just click on the edit button on the top corner of your post box, you'll be able to edit how many you want showing there

The FAQs might help you to understand the basics of the system: http://www.thestudentroom.co.uk/faq.php?faq=rep

In this case, your reputation points likely haven't increased because the members leaving rep for you didn't have any rep 'power' - you need a certain amount of rep and posts before you have any 'power'. The rep widget only shows a limited number of rep comments at once. You can change the number shown by using the button, but to see all of your received rep you'll need to subscribe.

Yes, the threshold is currently 150 posts and 110 rep points before you have any rep 'power'.

How can I see my rep, as in the numbers you are talking about? When you rep someone there's a little message you can type, where does this go and who sees it?

Apologies for wandering from the topic, it was just a quick question which didn't seem to warrant a new thread.

Go to "My TSR" then click "Customise your TSR". Make sure the "Recieved Reputation" boxes are ticked and then look for the widget/box on your homepage.

When you give someone reputation, it appears in their "Recieved Reputation" widget along with the comment and link to the post you repped them for.
