    Download limit question
I have recently purchased a T-mobile dongle, for which I have 2GB per month to use. How much of this would a 30min video streaming such as 4OD or iplayer use? I've tried looking online but get mixed answers and Im not really sure what's going on. I have unlimited browsing with the dongle.

First you say you have 2GB, then you say unlimited. Which is it? (2GB I'm guessing).
While I'm not sure how much a video stream would be, its enough to say quite a lot. Probably about 500MB per hour.

Also as another point, you may find it a bit of a struggle to actually stream stuff. Speeds on mobile networks can be very slow (even on 3G / HSPDA networks).

Assuming the average bitrate is about 500kbps (it can vary a lot, but it's in that region) then you'll be downloading about 225 megabytes per hour. Whether you'll achieve that speed consistently is another issue.

It's unlimited browsing but for things like downloading and streaming I have 2GB.

Sounds ok then, might be able to watch hollyoaks on 4OD occasionally haha

I doubt it. Very rarely do companies differentiate. And viewing webpages counts as downloading anyway (as your web browser has to download the page for you to view it). I'm guessing its advertised as unlimited, but has a fair usage policy of 2GB. Which means your total usage is limited to 2GB.

Hmm. Well it's t-mobile and they told me when I bought it that I would never be stopped from browsing, although they said that I'd be warned when I was down to the last 10% of my allowance for downloads. Im just saying what I've been told...

Could you find a link to the policy that you purchased/got with the dongle?
