Hey! I've already written on the Journalism thread for Falmouth uni, but I found this one too!
I'm in my second year at the uni and for anyone having doubts about how much fun it is not being in a city, I'm having a great time. University is whatever you want it to be. Falmouth has a ton of places to go out and drink, you just have to find them. If you like to dance, Remedies, Mango Tango or Club I might be more your thing, there are a million old pubs and there are a few little trendy bars opening up now too. The Stannary which is on the Tremough campus is good if you live on campus or for a quick drink between lectures and they've put a bar on the Woodlane Campus recently.
The beaches are lovely, even in the winter!
And for those of you mentioning accommodation, it was lovely when I stayed there in 2009/10. I was in Glasney View which are the newer blocks of flats, Glasney Parc are the older ones (which are still fairly new, really). There are 7 people to a flat and everyone has a double bed and en suite bathroom. the only communal area is the kitchen.
This year they've had some problems with the accommodation and the amount of people that applied for rooms though. A lot of people had bunk beds and had to share their rooms. Obviously if people drop out or leave, they will move the rooms around and in the end there will be little-no bunk bedded rooms.
I was surprised at the amount of people that move around/leave uni. My friend's flat had 5/7 people living in it at the end of the year because one moved out and one got kicked out!
