What sort of Keyboard would you recommend...
...for someone who wanted to start learning Piano?

Obviously I am not going to buy a Piano because that's a massive investment. I would just really love to play Piano. It's such a magical instrument.

If you can find one with slightly weighted keys (more of an electric piano than a keyboard) then it's definitely better - good enough for a beginner. If you start on a keyboard then your finger strength won't be built up, so you'll find if you get to the stage of playing a proper piano you can't make the right sound.

I have a Yamaha Portable Grand which serves me extremely well considering it was like £100. It's a nice size and produces nice sound.
It depends on your budget. I went for the biggest one I could get for the cheapest. If you're a total beginner I'd probably personally look for something relatively inexpensive, then progress to a better one if you continue.

    £100 for a portable grand O_o. Is that 88-key?

    76. It is this one, I believe... though now I'm thinking was it £100? Certainly wasn't much over as my max was £150 and I seem to recall I had leftover. *shrug* eBay'd it. did mean getting silver instead of black, but eh.

So whats the cheapest that you can generally get keyboards with more than 61 keys?

The cheapest new and proper (as in, reputable brand) ones I've seen have been for around £60-£70 but that would be for a 61 key, very very basic thing.
You can find larger ones second hand for around that price as well, though that often means you need to pick up if you go with eBay.

The going price for the NP-30 which is what I have seems to be around £200-250 which surprises me, but hey, I did get it like three years ago so maybe I'm wrong. The benefit of something a little more expensive is little things like the ... graded keys (probably not the proper technical word) - it plays more similarly to an actual piano.
