University of Edinburgh/Heriott Watt Financial mathematics
    Hi all!

Does anybody know about the programme? What are the perspectives to get a job? Is it rigour of the mathematics enough?

Maybe there is somebody, who have already attended this course. Would appreciate your opinion.

What are you talking about? There is joint degree offered between the two unis and I have no idea of it whatsoever. Amazing!

Nevertheless, I am studying Maths at UoE and it is quite cool. It is not the hardest math I have ever seen in my life, but again here it depends on what you understand when you say hard math. The professors are good and the lectures are pretty straight forward. It is also internationally recognized, so, yeah, it is a good program (as long as we are talking about UoE, I have no idea about HW)

I know that a lot depends on me and my persistence, also I know that UoE is very recognized around the world and a very good uni. Anyway I don't understand why the exact program (joint between UoE and Heriott Watt) isn't highlighted enough in TSR? The only explanation I can think out is: it happens because the program isn't very popular among students. But I don't understand why!???

miranti, thanks for the answer! Yes, I'm talking about the joint degree. Think, the slash puzzled you. It doesn't be there. Can you say anything about the exact program? Where alumnae usually end? Will I be able to find a job in IB in London, if I'm not a home student, or students from Warwick/LSE/Imperial/Oxbridge will be much better educated?
