    MA Politics and Parliamentary?
I've recently qualified with a PhD in an Arts subject and I'm finding I don't have many satisfying career opportunities available to me now that I've graduated (doh!).

I'm seriously thinking of doing the MA in Politics and Parliamentary as I'm a political junkie and would love to work in that environment (I'm also sick of my current subject area). However, at this stage in my life, I need a course which will pretty much guarantee me a job at the end of it. My alternative option is to do a PGCE PCET at a new university in the subject I've studied for seven years or so already.

If anyone knows anything about the MA in Politics and Parliamentary, is the semester long internship in a parliamentary office a bit lightweight or will it give me a fighting chance of getting job when the course ends? I can't really go for this course unless it is likely to lead to a proper job.

As you get a placement in an MP's office then it should giveyou a good chance of getting a job either with an MP or politics afterwards. However, you may want to look into just applying for internships with MPs (try the w4mp site), which would avoid you having to do another masters.
