    Tort - Defamation and Negligence
Tort exam monday, and we were told we would have a question on defamation (specifically regarding freedom of speech v protecting reputation), a question on negligence in a car crash scenario and a question on economic loss/negligence.

    1. are there any good articles anywhere about freedom of speech v rep protection or any case law?
    2. any car crash cases that anyone knows of?
    3. any other tips?

    Thanks guys, rep is available

For defamation, search for Reynolds v Times UK on Westlaw and have a look at the journal articles that cite it. Be on the lookout for articles by Eric Barendt, Ian Loveland and some others.

Also Jonathan Coad 'Reynolds and public interest - what about truth and human rights?' is particularly good. It's 18 pages long but he is highly critical of the Reynolds defence because he thinks it is protected at the cost of the right to reputation and the article 8 right to privacy.
