what about over all?? isnt that for one paper... i swear its not 58 or above to get a B???? because last year you needed 103 to get a B overall

if i were you, id be aiming for 60 marks.
itl prob be around 105 for a B, but you should work to make sure you get it!

won't make the same mistake again hopefully... Also for simultaneous equations, if you show the workings out of how to tackle the question, but you go wrong somewhere - some that makes you get both answers of x and y wrong :| Do you still get marks for working out?


maybe you might because the examiner might see that u know how to do the question but got the numbers wrong :smile: Don't worry though, just try to do good on the calculator paper so it compensates for any mistakes you might have made!

Could someone help me and give an example of how to use the sine rule, i'm having a lot of trouble with it. I can do cosine, but I really can't get my head around sine. If you could give me an example that would be great. And also when trying to find a length of a triangle or an angle how do you know when to use sine or cosine???

it probably said all the midpoints from the first to the last should be joined. :colondollar:


The first and last points should not be joined but they will ignore it if they were joined.

I found it alright, apart from the question about the hemisphere and cone which I completely messed up and the surds. I also lost a couple of marks on the density question for not reading it properly

for the sine rule to find out length of a side you need 1 side and the 2 corresponding angles
if you're trying to work out an angle then you need 1 angle and the 2 corresponding sides.

fot the cosine rule to find out length of a side you need the 2 other sides and the angle between them
if you're trying to work out an angle then you need all 3 sides.

you can use this info to find out what rule you're supposed to use in a qn.:smile:
