Anyone doing aqa gcse geography?

How are you all revising?

I'm doing:
Restless Earth
Water on the Land
The Coastal Zone
Changing Urban Env
The Development Gap
Tourism


Learning all the case studies... it takes such a long time! Anyone got any tips? :smile:

Population Change

Yeah same, I'm learning all the case studies. But we have learnt 5 physical topics, but just hate weather, so revising 4 :/ I just write all the case studies over and over again, then it just sticks to my mind. We're basically doing the same topics!

Good luck, there's so much to remember (...well, slightly less than history though! :tongue:)

oh yh, what did you get for your controlled assessment (since you're on the same board) it's out of 60

Thought it's out of /30, guess we just double our score then! :smile: Did you do yours on stuff like urban morphology and walking around your town at the crack of dawn? :redface:

I got 52-53-ish. I can't remember the exam number but it was 1 mark above an A*. Do you have the grade boundaries?

im doing all yours. Need to start revising - we have like 30+ case studies argh

Well grade boundaries for last year were 52=A*, but obviously this year's one is unknown. But I'd assume something similar :smile:

Oops sorry didn't say, that's for the coursework. But it's 46/75 for an A* on each paper (well last year..). Hope this helps :smile:

I've definately got my a* for the coursework then hehe
I never knew it was that low for the exam o.O I mean 46/75 is like HALF :confused: all you need to do is learn the case studies and apply the knowledge, it isn't that hard for such low grade boundaries lol - anyways I don't mind, it's working in our favour! :biggrin:
