    Silverstone GP 2011 - Who's Going?
    Hi everybody,
I'll be going to Silverstone for the first time this July, so could any of you F1 regulars tell me the best place to sit/stand on a general admission ticket. I'll be there for all 3 days so I've got the practice session to find my favourite spot as well.
Also, which campsite is the best (reasonably priced,m good location, people that are a laugh) and what time will I need to be at the track to get a decent view on quali and race day.
Thanks everybody, you should see me around here in the future as well as this looks like a decent forum

During practice sessions you can go to the stands with a GA ticket. I'd honestly spend the Friday just wandering around the whole track. Just after the first corner is a bloody load spot to sit - take ear defenders!
Best campsite is the Silverstone camp site. If you're not there now, you won't get a space. Sells out quickly.
Get there as early as you can. I spoke to some people who had been at their spot since 6am! Honestly though, there's always enough room for a decent view.

Would love to go this year but couldn't get the Friday off work and that's the only time I could travel!

Going to try and get some hospitality tickets through work (Dad works for McLaren now) but I think it'll be too late now! Fingers crossed I'll be there.

If you mean Copse, then it's not the first corner anymore.

I might go for a bit on Thursday if work have pit passes again. Otherwise think this'll be the first year in a very long time that I've not seen the cars 'live' so to speak, but then last year I did Malaysia and Spain race weekends, and a few different bits at Silverstone.
