Anyone doing Nursing come Sept?
Hey all,
Thought I'd drop a post and ask if anyone is doing nursing come Sept in Stafford? I'm doing the children's nursing branch and am hoping to get to know as many ppl who will also be doing nursing in Sept
Oh yeah I forgot to say add me on facebook if you like. Just look up my name (Charlotte Morgan) and you'll find me!

Re: Anyone doing Nursing come Sept?
Hello everyone, my brother applied for nursing however, wasn't successful in the application process on UCAS. How can he find where there's places on nursing courses in various universities (I know it's called clearing but when can he see these places and do you rekon there'll be any places left?). Nursing is a great career and I wish you all the best

What kind of things will you be doing whilst studying nursing, just curious... -
Re: Anyone doing Nursing come Sept?Well basically he'll know about clearing from results day onwards. But he'll only hear about the clearing at the unis he applied to go to. Regarding other unis I'm not sure, I think he'll have to ring up each uni and find out A) if they have any spaces left, and B) if they'll accept him. I hope he's successful, nursing is a great choice of career, and so rewarding.(Original post by pinda.college)

Well regarding what we have to learn obviously everything a qualified nurse has to do. So y'know look up the job role of a nurse and that's what we'll be doing! We have to learn how to take blood, take BP, correctly clean wounds and bandage a person up, learn how to do drug calculations, CPR, put in IV lines and catheters...the works basically! -
Re: Anyone doing Nursing come Sept?Well I'm in my gap yr atm so I applied for my accommodation (at Stafford Court) quite a while back. What it is is you should have received a confirmation email regarding applying for accommodation. Have you got that email from them?(Original post by stardustfactory)
I've appled to go into Stafford court on stafford campus ... i have not heard anything for ages
(i didn't even know we move in on the 18th sept
) so i don't know where i'll end up. How about you?
If you have then everything's fine, you're right on track. The Uni don't start allocating rooms to ppl until after the A level results have come out at the end of the month so you won't hear from them until late July/ early Aug time. And it's at that time where they'll give you more info about the accommodation and they'll give you a room and flat number and more details about moving in. Don't worry, I didn't hear about when we could move in until I went to the open day at the uni a few Weds ago!
