Low cpu consumption video chat
My girlfriend's going abroad for a year and we want to be able to video chat during her time away. We got a pair of webcams but Skype and one other program (Oovoo) make her old laptop grind to a halt. Her laptop is capable of watching a livestream broadcast from mine, but are there any low-quality two way programs that wouldn't be so intensive on the laptop's CPU?

Re: Low cpu consumption video chatTry an Internet service perhaps? Something like Google+ or Facebook may provide this sort of facility. I can't really think of any software off the top of my head that would provide you with videotelephony at a low CPU level.(Original post by Pony Jack)
