Founders Hall room exchange.
I currently have founders hall on the west wing. I've been thinking about it and I've changed my mind and decided that I want an en suite in my room, so I'm looking for someone who would be willing to exchange my room for any room in reid, wedderburn, williamson tuke and butler, gowar or runnymedge (any en suite room really).
I know it might be weird since it would be unlikely, but people may prefer to move into an accommodation which is cheaper, or would like to move into founders because of the experience or convenience.
but for whatever reason, please let me know on this thread if you are interested in the exchange.
Thanks!Last edited by MKS444; 21-09-2011 at 01:24. -

Re: Founders Hall room exchange.
Well if you really hate founders that much, can afford the car and it only takes 20mins I say go for it.
I'm commuting from maidenhead but can't drive so it takes ages
Edit: do you have ensuite at home?
Edit 2: also look at this http://www.rhul.ac.uk/studentlife/ac...contractb.aspx if you give up a room after term starts you have to pay rent till somebody takes over your room and if nobody does you have to pay the whole yearLast edited by gm15; 28-09-2011 at 20:56. -
Re: Founders Hall room exchange.
Oh so you are a tad spoiled (don't mean that in a nasty way). Ok you share your bathroom with a fair few more people than you do when you share it with just your family but it can't be that bad. if only they let you donate your room to a specific person on the waiting list i'd take it.

Re: Founders Hall room exchange.I would have thought it was pretty self explanatory. Had this been allowed, you could simply tell accommodation that you want to give your room to, say, #146 on waiting list 1 because he's your friend... but, of course, that would be extremely unfair on everyone else who applied for accommodation fair and square.(Original post by Japchap1)
What do you mean donate to a specific person on the waiting list ?
Just a small update to everyone, accommodation haven't really had any changes this week (obviously, it's freshers week) but as soon as they settle in and term starts completely (homeworks, seminars, full blown lectures) people will begin to shift out due to a number of reasons. The first three weeks are when most people quit at any activity.
Not to mention third years who may hate their halls room and might give it up for a commute from home. -
Re: Founders Hall room exchange.Go to student admin centre and fill in a form. Then basically move out and hope somebody takes over your room and rent - very likely.(Original post by Japchap1)
I am now gonna try and leave my room so i can travel from home, where can i get information to find out what to do in the situation ? thanks
