    2012 Internship Issue
    Hi

Im currently in my second year. Everyone i know is looking at internships (some people have even got them already), so i decided to look yet again at internships for summer 2012.

The degree i study is economics/econometrics. Did pretty good in first year, and hoping to continue at this level for the coming year. So i'm not really to worried about this side of things. I do volunteer work, and worked as an english teacher in china, which i really enjoyed.

Anyway, the thing about internships is, is that they all look so dull. Most people i know want to work in some sort of finance role, hence go for finance internships. I'm not interested in anything like this at all, so there would be no point in me applying to them.

The main issue with internships is, is that i dont want to do nothing all next summer, and want some experiance, but in something which interests me, and i feel will benefit me.

Any opinions from anyone? Sorry if the post seems a bit all over the place by the way.

You want something that interests you. So it might us to help you by saying what you think may interest you, rather than just saying you don't want a finance internship...
