    Media and Communication?
Basically, I'm through clearing at a late stage and i'm wondering what the course is like here. As well as the uni itself, campus, surrounding area, accommodation etc etc.

    Any responses are greatly appreciated

    Hi Wreemo,

My name is Diana and I'm jut about to graduate from Communication, Culture and Media, no going onto an MA in Media Production.

I've had a really good experience of the course. It has quite a lot of theory and essays, but everything is so interesting! The lecturers are really nice, funny and 'current'.

There are no exams on this course, which is so good! It might look quite relaxed and easy from the outside (you'll get that a lot from other students) but it's not that easy..You'll speak about things that are quite complex and intersting that you wouldn't think about in connection to the course like Memory and Identity; sound more like something you'd do on a psychology course. That's why I love CCM, it just includes everything you can think of!

When you get an essay or project you are given a general theme and you can do whatever you want with it, you can speak about something you are interested in but from a 'CCM point of view'. You can analize your favorite film, speak about a computer game or a random video on youtube!

I really like the Campus as well, especially with the Hub opening this year. A big part of my student life are societies. Have you joined any societies yet?

I hope this helps. I'm here until 12 if you have any questions

    Enjoy the course!

    Best,
    Diana
