Do they start sending as from mid January (like after the15th Jan which is the deadline ) ? :gasp:

I think so. They do give out the odd offer before then, but it is very rare, and I think it's mainly unconditionals to people who are applying with their final grades.

I will probably be applying around this time next year for 2013 entry in MSc Operations Research...
Other than my study work and academic interests I hate being a student in a Greek uni.
Can't wait to leave this place...

I WILL BE CHOOSING LSE CAUSE IT ROCKS!!!!!!

Hi, I sent my application off a few days ago.
Whats my chances for Accounting and Finance?

GCSE - A*A*A*A*A*A*ABB+ 6 BTEC distinctions
AS -AAAA in Math, Economics, Chemistry and Biology-drop
A2 predictions - A*A*A respectively and EPQ on Financial crisis- A

My personal statement seemed really good, brilliant reference aswell.
So what do you think?

U stand as good chance as a person with a's and b's at gcse and predicted lower than you, and its up to them whether ur ps and reference stand out. LSE consider each person primarily on the personal statement assuming u have adequate grades

Looks good but check the previous person's post (before mine) and look at her grades. I guess that with LSE you can never tell...

:afraid: PS maybe? Still, that's shocking with such amazing grades.

Wow I'm really sorry to hear that! :frown: When did you submit your application? Now I am kind of scared to get a rejection soon as well :s-smilie:

They just knew that you'd definitely end up at Cambridge, that's why .

You got rejected for both courses? How is it possible to be rejected so early?

It is one course..

I know, I'm kind of gutted but kind of expected this as well. My personal statement was very centred on Economics and I didn't merge my love of history into it very well. They probably took one read of my PS and dumped it.
I applied last week on the 11th. sadtimes!

There's still hope for you guys, obviously if you have sent it already then they probably have begun looking over them

Trust me, though it may not feel like it now, you'd rather have heard from them now than later on. I got rejected for Gov+Econ on the last day of UCAS last year, it hurt a lot more than my rejection from Ox.

Don't worry about Cambridge! So long as you do well at interviews, the place is yours

thanks for your reassurance!
ohman, LSE had gave you their decision so late!? what a bummer ):

Don't think like that, they're not out to get you :P. If you're applying for econ, expect maths questions. Graphs, stats, and differentiation. Know your stuff well. They may give you word problems where you read it and from the info. draw a graph.

Haha yeah, LSE are very strange :P.

I think this really does show the importance of the personal statement with regard to an application at LSE.

My commiserations, good luck. You should get an offer elsewhere.

By the way, are you doing Further Maths A-level?

Which is probably why, I will not get an offer for econ at LSE.. I didn't weigh the Math very high..
