Mature students preparing to go into University
I'm a 25 year old (will be 26 by the time uni starts) preparing for university. I applied to 5 uni's being Kings College, City University, Nottingham University, Lincoln University and Northampton University, all to study Computer Science and Computing.
The Lincoln and Northampton unis will be near family, so those are my safe options. I preferably would like to get into Kings, although I maybe a little ambitious in that!
I'm currently finishing off a BTEC Extended Diploma in IT Systems Support & Networking and predicted a DDD. Basically i'm smacking it for 6 and see where it gets me.
My main question is, do mature students have an easier time at uni compared to the younger ones who are away from mummy and daddy for the first time? Or is it a bit of culture shock?
I'm curious and excited at the same time.
Any answers are welcomed and taken on board.
