    Mistake On Ucas, Help Needed!!
My ucas was just sent to my choices a few days ago. Today was the first time I was able to login to track, unfortunately one of my old Double Award GCSEs from High School was entered as a G instead of a C.

Ucas is apparently closed till the 2nd Jan for office enquiries. I have recieved acknowledgement emails already from my choices. Pretty disastrous, especially since I'm applying as a mature student, anything I can do?

I doubt that your university choices will be making any decisions in that time period either. I'd try to find out when the universities re-open and then contact them directly to tell them about the error since it will appear on paper copies of your application that they base their decision on. No worries

You just have to wait till Jan 2nd for UCAS to change it, I would also e-mail each uni's after new years, chances are they won't be going over your application until after new years when they open as well, and if you email them now, it will be far down on the list compared to emailing them after new years where they still might read it.

    It's okay, thank god.

6:AM in the morning, I rechecked. I entered everything right, it was actually C + G (City and Guilds) a random different qual, I was looking at the wrong thing.

For about 30 mins I was contemplating suicide, luckily it's only you guys I made a prat of myself in front off. Sorry, epic fail averted, sort of.

I was about to say, surely GCSE's don't count for much when you're a mature student? I haven't put mine down when I applied for uni.

Would have been great if so. I'm a different person as a 20 something than I was 15/16.

I went by the The Student Room guide suggesting that you should enter GCSE's whether they were great or not. They certainly weren't reflective of what I'm studying now.

Actually, you are required to declare the grades you've achieved in any and all public examinations you have answered except for those you receive a grade U in.

    Oh balls....

I didn't declare my GCSE's because I got **** grades, and I've sent off my applications a month ago.

I'm 25 though, and my grades then don't even come close to who I am now.

Which is why the unis probably won't take much notice, beyond ensuring you have the essentials, but you should have included all your GCSE grades. You need to get hold of UCAS in the New Year and ask how to proceed.

    Fair enough I will do.

Is it ok to PM you to tell you more about the situation?

You are indeed most fortunate. Follow her advice to the letter.
