It depends what your grades are

Kent is better than Brunel though according to this:

    http://www.thecompleteuniversityguid...gs?s=Economics

Kent is 23rd whilst Brunel is 51st.

I'd say Kent is decent, but Brunel isn't really

What are your grades? What other universities are you applying for?

Kent is a good university, and their Economics department is increasing in strength year on year. Brunel is pretty much unheard of but good for the grades they ask. It depends entirely on your grades.

I'm pretty sure they ask for roughly the same grades.

Wrong. Brunel asks for BBC whereas Kent ask for ABB.

So what I said still stands. Brunel is good for the grades required since hardly in English university accepts such low requirements for Economics these days, most of the universities that do are north of the border.

Kent however is a good university, is well known, and as such has average entry requirements.
