Laptop for product design/industrial design
Hello

I've applied for a mixture of product design and industrial design and I know these rely a lot on computer work for CAD etc. Does anyone, preferably with more ICT literate than me know what kind of spec laptop I need to look at, like graphics cards and stuff like that? I've been looking at the new Dell Inspiron, any ideas?
Thanks,

From what I know CAD programs don't run on Mac's (not without some trickery).
In terms of specifications, you'll probably be looking at a 2 - 3GHz Dual core, 4 - 6 GB of RAM, and 500GB upwards for a hard drive.
I'm guessing that you'll be looking to spend £400 - £700.
I may be way off, but this is what I was looking at when I brought my computer.

Edit: This looks pretty good HP Pavilion DV6-6B07EA, this looks pretty decent. And Save On Laptops are pretty good.Last edited by ocelotrevs; 29-12-2011 at 20:15.
