Re: ResitsWhy would your teacher lie to you?(Original post by Zoned)
If i resit an exam a 2nd time would that result stick no matter what? My teacher told me it would, i don't know if she's lying or not.
Basically, whichever grade is better, is the grade you get. If you got a C on the paper originally but got a B the 2nd time, you would get a B. If it happened the other way around so you got a C the second time but had a B the first time, you would still be awarded the B grade.

Re: ResitsOP was referring to the second result. If the first result stuck, no matter what, then what would be the point in resits!(Original post by Zoned)

Re: ResitsSome do. When I was looking at marine biology courses, st andrews said you had to get AAA with no resits.(Original post by sharmine)
Do universities 'dislike' resits? -
Re: ResitsFor A levels, the better or best result you get in an exam, whenever you get it - the first attempt, the 3rd of 5 or the 7th of 7 - is the one that counts. It is that simple.(Original post by Zoned)
So lets say i got a B in my second attempt at a exam (first resit) and i want to resit it again to get an A but fail miserably and get a C, the B would stick?
