help with choosing last a level...
hello , i wish to study an advanced diploma in creative and media (worth 2 a levels) and graphic design (1 a level)
i need one more a level to make a total of 4
my final choices are :
accouting
english language
fine art
communication and cultural studies
i wish to persue a career in advertising, publishing or graphic design (creative artistic side )
or become a teacher , but only for art (or related subjects , i.e media/ graphics/ict)
i think english language would help because it would help me in the media world and is the proper subject from the list
accounting could give me an additional career path if the others fail
i wouldnt mind doing art as i currently take it and love the subject, but i want to have an academic, preferably 'hard' subject, doing art would mean only doing creative subjects which i believe is too risky
communication and cultural studies seems interesting, and is a mix of english and media , but i think its too much of a soft subject for me
i am an a * student and got A in both english language and literature, A* in art , A predicted in maths, A* predicted in ICT, A* predicted in media
which do you think would benefit me most? thank you -
Re: help with choosing last a level...
English Language. My mum's an accountant, and she says anyone can do it at a basic level, it's just a matter of teaching yourself etc
You've already pointed out why you wouldn't do Art.
Comm and Cult Studies is not exactly regarded as a subject by either unis or employers, so that's really a waste of time.
