    History at university
    Right.
I have recently decided that I want to do History at degree level. It really interests me, and I could wax lyrical about various historical periods for hours on end.

    The problem is my grades.
Last year, I took Biology, English Literature, History and Physics at AS. I got a E's in Biology, Physics, and English, and a D in History. I also have a D in IT, that I gained in Year 11.
I am re-taking Biology AS this year, and have continued with English and History, and done resits in both of those - I hope to get at least a C in English, and a B in History.

Along with my sub-standard AS grades, my GCSE's weren't as good as they could have been - I got 1 A, 9 B's, and one C. Two of those B's I gained in Year 10.

I'm worried that my re-sits and poor GCSE's will affect my chance at getting into uni - I'm not bothered about going to Oxbridge or a RG one. Glamorgan, Keele, Westminister and Dundee are current options.

What would you recommend I do?
    Thanks in advance.

It might affect it slightly if the grades stay low, but if you can gain the grades you're hoping for, you should be fine. Worst case scenario, you can redo them and apply next year.
I'm applying to Dundee and Keele as well, so good luck fellow applicant.

    Thank you.
I'm not actually applying this year, I have to stay on another year to get my full Biology A-Level - at the end of this year, I'll only have two A Levels, and 2 AS's.
