BA History at Royal Holloway
Hi everyone.
I'm hoping to study for a BA in History by distance learning with the university of london this autumn. The degree is offered by Royal Holloway and is the same as their full time degree in history with the same content and exams.
I've looked at both the university of londons webpages and royal holloways website for information on the modules in first year but all i can find is a 2 or 3 line description of each module. Can anyone give me more detailed information on what you study in history modules particularly first year. Also are there any recommended books for the first year modules as i'd like to get a flavor for the course before i sign up for it.

Re: BA History at Royal Holloway
hello
i had the same problem last year when i had to choose my subjects and couldnt find any usefull information , that is why am i replying to your question now.
i took my models based on the same 2 line descriptions and failed in choosing two subjects i really did not like.
my models were the rich tapestry of life, the brith of western christendom, state society and individual in non western world, history and its meanings, and 2 classical subjects, roman art and greek archaeology. i passed all the history subjects and now am stuck with these 2 classic ones, cause wow , the roman art was really a huge surprise once i actually registered and looked at VLE.
of course once you register you are able to see all the other subjects and you can also switch them if you think you made a mistake but that costs more money... i dont know what subjects you are gonna take but i can explain you these that i had , or some that i am now allowed to see. i wish someone helped me with these when i signed in
