Re: Kirkgate stand to Uni of Leeds
From the Kirkgate stand it's a 2 minute walk to the main bus station, which is just in front of the co-op that the Kirkgate stand is behind. From there the 1, 6, 28, 95 and probably other buses will get you to Leeds uni in 10 minutes.
Otherwise it's a 20/30 minute walk straight up through the town.

Yeah, it's a straight walk, but you can jump on the City bus from roughly where you come in at Kirkgate, it's a minibus that runs a circuit around the city centre every ten minutes and costs 50p. It'll go round the houses for twenty minutes, through the train station etc., but when it passes Park Lane College (their students heap on and get off there), wait for it to go round a couple of sharp corners and get off at the stop after the Dentist Institute. The Leeds campus is on the left there.

Re: Kirkgate stand to Uni of LeedsIf its for an Open Day you may as well walk as you will then get a feel of the city centre. Look it up on google maps as a guide. You go from Kirkgate onto Vicar Lane, then turn left onto the Headrow. Then if you want to go to the front of the uni, you just carry along on Headrow till you get to the Halifax and turn right up that street (it will be Albion St, which becomes Woodhouse Lane), you walk up there and pass Leeds Met and you will get to the Parkinson building the big white tower at the front of Leeds Uni.(Original post by POWW!)
I'm booked on Megabus to go to University of Leeds for an open day next week, the bus is going to stop at kirkgate stand K14. How do I get to the University from here?
Probably about 20 min walk.
