    Unpopular Books Opinions
Do you think you have any book opinion(s) that could be considered unpopular or even 'controversial'?

    Watership Down is boring.
Romeo and Juliet is truly dreadful, most of Shakespeares other plays were much better.
The fellowship of the ring was the best book out of the LOTR trilogy.

I hardly read anymore though, other than my course stuff, as most of my philosophy readings are so freaking difficult.

I thought the book Woman in Black was actually really dull... it only got interesting at the end, when it got a little bit scary and things actually happened...

    haven't seen the recent movie

When surrounded by an army of teenage girls the view that Twilight is a load of utter rubbish is generally not well received.

I don't like Harry Potter -- at all. I think it is a pop culture fad I'm going to have to get used to. I think it's well written and does a great job in creating that magic realism style (not to mention a great atmosphere), but I didn't really like it: probably because it's aimed at teenagers, and it's awfully predictable :teehee:

    Also,

This and Grimm fairy tales > Harry Potter.

I really don't like Ursula Le Guin and Neil Gaiman, everyone seems to love them.

Harry Potter has a good storyline but is poorly written.

FFS if you don't agree with me at least say why.

I thought Murder on the Orient Express was pretty poor. I didn't like the ending. In my opinion Agatha Christie wrote many better mysteries.

I see Fiction in general as utterly pointless.

The amount of time you spend reading Harry Potter, captain ****ing underpants or some other ****e you could have read a book on Quantum Mechanics or economic theory.

If everyone traded in all of their fiction books for non-fiction ones, the world would be such a better, more intelligent place.

Pretty sure that's an unpopular opinion.

Not disagreeing just wondering, have you ever read the books or are you just basing that on the film?
