U.S Debt in Pennies [INFOGRAPHIC] - Crazy Mental.
Stumbled across this on "stumble upon" when looking at some infographics. U.S debt infographic shows how the debt would reach the sun and come back 16 times if stacked in PENNIES!!?
This stuff blows my mind - Here if you wanna see it: US Debt Infographic

Re: U.S Debt in Pennies [INFOGRAPHIC] - Crazy Mental.Entirely true, but you can't help but ignore the level of expenditure here against the popularity of the currency? It's mind blowing.(Original post by MirandaPanda)
And?
Its also the world's most liquid and defacto reserve currency; it obviously needs to be brought downwards, but it can sustain that level of debt repayment nonetheless. -

Re: U.S Debt in Pennies [INFOGRAPHIC] - Crazy Mental. But its sustainable, that's my point; if your's is that its a huge number just in and of itself, then I agree. But in comparison to the US' economy, which is colossal, and indeed the reserve status of the dollar, its not an entirely surprising figure.(Original post by rachkeighly)

While I completely agree that it is a huge amount of debt. The good thing is the average person in my country is starting to notice this. Once we finally end the war's we are in we will start to be able to make a sizable dent in that debt. I find it interesting that you look at our debt as enormous but when you compare it to the ratio to our gdp it is not as bad. However if you compare the UK's debt to their gdp things get a little bit more interesting. Funny thing is you don't see people in the US making posts on uk student forums about it oh wait....

You're a funny guy. I wasn't denying the fact that the U.S debt situation doesn't look as bad long term when compared to the UK debt, but that doesn't change the fact that we're talking about 15 trillion here. The size of debt is just going to keep unless something drastic happens, and with promise of weapons and arms from Obama to Israel.. is there more conflict around the corner?
