    Most sociable self-catered accommodation at Uni of Manchester?
    I've just accepted Manchester as first choice for Economics and now need to find accommodation but its all so confusing. I really want to go self-catered but I've heard the most sociable place (Owens Park in Fallowfield) is all catered so i'm a bit stuck. Does anyone know where the next best places are- I dont think i'm massively bothered about having an en suite, i'd forfeit that for a good party life! Thanks, any help would be massively appreciated!!

    You definitely want somewhere in Fallowfield; the only self-catered, shared bathroom (and IMHO en suite is a waste of money) hall there is Oak House. Thankfully, it's still a really sociable hall

    PS Oak House is right next to OP, and you will make friends there!

    In My Humble Opinion

    IMO = In My Opinion

    PS if you use the quote button (the one in the bottom right of each post) then a little message appears for us, and we know that someone wants a reply. I only spotted this by chance

    Woooo I just firmed Manc too! For English Language

    Any hall in Fallowfield is bound to be very sociable; I'm applying to Richmond Park, Sheavyn House, and Allen Hall (maybe, but that's Catered), if not Allen Hall then Oak House... Tho a cousin of mine who went to Manchester said Oak House was a grimy and the rooms were tiny...

    But definitely get one in Fallowfield if you want a sociable first year. Not that other ones aren't but it's got a more student-y vibe, and I've heard the other campuses have lots of international students who are not interested in going out and partying for hte most part so.... Take from that what you will Hope this helps!

    I lived in Oak House last year, it's great for the social side of things but it is very noisy pretty much all the time and the rooms are fairly small and grim but it is definitely worth it!
