How much do you spend on birthday presents ?
Hey,
Today is my mums birthday and I got her a bag from Zara, Pyjamas from M + S and perfume from Zara, this totaled to £60.
I walked into my friends flat and all of them have gone all ' you spent £60!!! on your mum I spend £10 max' and all this.
I am 19 and not rich or anything but my mums had a hard year and shes not speaking to my brother so I'm pretty much the only person getting her a present. So I thought I'd get her stuff to make her feel special.
Is it bad to spend this much ?

Re: How much do you spend on birthday presents ?
I only have a crappy summer job and am saving up for stuff for uni so I spend about £10-15 on birthdays and mothers/fathers days.
Plus I could probably afford more if they were more spread out, but mothers day is sunday, dads birthday is monday, mums birthday is in April and then it's fathers day in June.Last edited by Clare~Bear; 15-03-2012 at 17:30. -
Re: How much do you spend on birthday presents ?
depends on the person.
Between £2-£5 each for extended family members / other peoples kids / acquaintances. There is a LOT of extended family members, so it all adds up.
Around £10 for my parents each, and my mother in law
Around £50 for my husband
For the kids, they get allocated £150 each, and that is to cover both their presents, and their party (or day out, if they're not having a party)
