As above. I've been pos repped quite a bit recently, yet the number of points stay exactly the same (-106). could it be that everyone who repps me has no reputation power or is it something else?

2 neg reps oh the irony.

 Usually it's immediate. mr tim's explanation is likely to be the correct one here.

You cannot rep the same person without repping 40 others, so maybe your pos rep was from a couple of accounts without rep power.

It's generally be par for the course on TSR that threads asking about rep tend to themselves attract rep. Beyond that, I can't give much more explanation... :iiam:

There's no guarantee that it'd be *positive* rep (not that I've given either type here!)

shame that the only way to know who gives you rep is to subscribe...

Yes, and I got my rep knocked down around 20 points for saying I had no interest in taking out a paid subscription.

I noticed that I got repped on a post but the rep "details" on my homepage for that post didn't show up until a few minutes later...Maybe that's what he meant?

    haha that's just bizarre!

some people just have it in for me and give me neg rep for relatively neutral posts.
