What does it say in your book or class notes?
There are a number of definitions, worded differently. It's best to stick to the one in your specification.
It also depends on whether you are asking about mechanical or electrical resonance.

One version goes like this:
"A condition in which a vibrating system responds with maximum amplitude to an applied alternating driving force. The condition exists when the driving force corresponds to a natural frequency of the system."

There are other versions.
