Youth and Community Work at Cumbria or Manchester?
I'm about to graduate with a psychology degree but I am thinking about taking this course to be a qualified youth worker and these are my two closest options.
The Cumbria course is a PG cert (1 year) whereas the Manchester one is a PG diploma (2 years) with the chance to turn it into a MA. But they both give the qualification so I'm thinking Cumbria is a better option to get it quickly and look for work, I don't want to be studying forever.
Has anyone got any experience on either of these courses and could tell me a bit about their experience? Were the placements easily sorted out?
Edit - they are both actually a PG diploma that give me the qualification in one year. Minor confusion there. I'm defintely thinking Cumbria now because I can live at home rent free then. Would love to hear anyones experience of the course either at undergrad or postgradLast edited by Boo_x; 29-03-2012 at 17:09.
