Should I get a laptop or a notebook?
I'm looking to buy a new laptop (or notebook/netbook) and I use computers mostly for word-processing, blogging and surfing the internet. What are the pros and cons of laptops versus notebooks? Thanks.

Laptops are generally bigger and more powerful than netbooks, as with netbooks you sacrifice the extra power and performance for portability.

If you don't really move around much a laptop may be better but if you are always moving around from place to place a netbook would be a more appropriate choice.

If you really want the small size, I would get an ultrabook if you can afford it. They are considerably more powerful than netbooks while still being very small. They can be pricey but I have used a few netbooks and they tend to struggle doing anything much, even newer ones. If you have a limited budget, then get a laptop it will be a far less frustrating experience than a netbook.

Notebook is just the same as laptop btw, different words for the same thing.

If you can be near a power outlet often then a netbook will be good. My netbook struggles to start up without a power connection. My laptop is easy to start up but I'd dread carrying it around safely (15 inch screen).
