will I be able to change this part of my degree?
so erm..i've made a big mistake. I've applied for a spanish german and italian degree and have an offer..BUT for some reason i've applied for a WIYA degree which i really don't want to do anymore. What are my chances of being able to change my degree so it doesn't have the WIYA?

You can do the german spanish italian without the IYA.. presumably it is a case of asking the department?

However surely being abroad is one of the best ways of learning the language?/

You don't necessarily have to change it now. You can wait until second year when the time comes to sort out year abroad etc. My other half was on a Spanish WIYA course, but in second year just applied to do an Erasmus year studying instead of teaching/working. If you're intending to do the Erasmus year then I don't think you need to worry about your official degree title yet. However, if you're not intending to spend any time abroad, it is much harder to convince the departments to allow you to stay and that you have a sufficient grasp of the language.
