How does UCAS send our results to the universities that we apply to?
hey guys im an international doing IB outside the uk, i firmed my offer at newcastle recently. i read a section about ucas sending our results to universities around first 10 days of august. i get my results on 6th of july and i wanted to know how i can make ucas send my results to the university, since results will only be available online for IB and the diploma will be sent to my high school by late august-september. i need to apply for a visa and dont have time for the wait. help greatly appreciated

Re: How does UCAS send our results to the universities that we apply to?
IB results are only sent directly to unis if you have agreed to this - and you would know that you have.So assuming that you haven't, because you wouldn't be asking this if you had, you are personally responsible for sending the results yourself.
It's up to the unis what proof they will accept. However, since your certificates won't be available for ages they should accept either a letter from your referee or a photocopy of a results slip. As soon as you have your results, email your firm and insurance and say "these are my results. Do you need me to do anything else?" -
Re: How does UCAS send our results to the universities that we apply to?ok thx a lot! our IB coordinator didn't inform us of any such thing.. so i think ill just contact the universities and either email a screenshot of my results page, or ill email them my account id and password so that they can be sure that i met the conditions. one last thing, is it late to agree to IB results being sent to UCAS, cz my uni said they dont need the certified results directly from IBO, and i read the results section in UCAS and they match my personal info with the IB results and send them to unis if i have agreed, so is it too late to sign a form and agree?(Original post by Juno)

Re: How does UCAS send our results to the universities that we apply to?Assuming your exams are in May you should have until May 1st to ask for your results to be sent, so talk to your school asap. However, it can take a while for your results to be verified anyway and the system isn't perfect so you should still email the uni anyway.(Original post by aeyurttaser13)
